Gregory M. Curran, ASA, FCA, MAAA, EA

 (President & Consulting Actuary)

  • Mr. Curran holds a degree in Finance and International Management from Georgetown University.  He is a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, an Associate of the Society of Actuaries, and an Enrolled Actuary.  He has twenty-eight years of experience working in actuarial consulting and plan administration for governmental pension plans. He is the President of the firm, responsible for maintaining a staff of actuarial and support personnel to provide clients the services that they require. He oversees the work of the actuarial team in running all necessary funding and GASB 67/68 actuarial valuations, he leads the actuarial assumption setting for the firm's valuations, he provides actuarial consulting services to each client's administrative team and Board of Trustees, he advises system Boards related to the potential impact of legislation and plan amendments, he serves on the state's Public Retirement Systems Actuarial Committee, he is responsible for overseeing the plan administration work performed by the company and for design and maintenance of the firm's in-house software. Mr. Curran oversees the review of transfers, purchases of prior service credit, and retirement benefit certifications. He also provides Board education and Legislative testimony.  

Gary S. Curran, ASA, FCA, MAAA, EA

  • Mr. Curran holds degrees in mathematics from Louisiana State University and the University of New Orleans.  He is the firm's founder and provided the Louisiana retirement community his vast actuarial experience for over thirty-five years.  Since retiring, Mr. Curran provides the firm's actuarial team with consulting advice and assistance when called upon. Prior to retirement, Mr. Curran provided consulting advice to the firm's clients, assisted in the approval of actuarial valuations, and oversaw computer programming related to the actuarial valuation process.  He provided expert testimony on behalf of the firm's clients.  He is a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, an Associate of the Society of Actuaries, and an Enrolled Actuary.  He served for many years as a member of the Louisiana Public Retirement System's Actuarial Committee and has served as an advisor to the Louisiana Pension Commission and previously worked as an actuary for the INTEGON Life Insurance Corporation of Winston-Salem, NC.
